Operation Freedom on the Chick is a tournament that pairs anglers with disabled veterans. It is about creating that comradery that is now non-existent for several veterans. The anglers can be anyone from another veteran to a seasoned fisherman. Anyone that is willing to take a disabled veteran fishing. This is one way that we as a community can uplift our local veterans- one event at a time. This is a prime chance to reach veterans from Chattanooga to Knoxville and surrounding areas.
This is a family event. There will be a vendor fair/ kid play area for families to have fun while the veteran is out fishing the tournament. A local Veteran Service Officer will be at the vendor fair to answer any questions.
All proceeds after cost will be donated to Operation Freedom Dogs out of Chattanooga, a 501c3 organization that provides veterans with PTSD service dogs.
